Clothing

Please dress your child according to the weather as we do go outside in all weather conditions. If your child is attending school, please dress them for walking to and from school.

We also ask that you send your child in comfortable clothes. Your child should not be afraid to get dirty or do certain physical activities because of their clothes. If you wish your child to dress up for school, please provide a set of play clothes to change into when they return from school. Also provide your child with comfortable running shoes for outdoor play and slippers for indoor play.

We also insist that every child have a complete change of clothing available at the centre in case of accidents of any kind. The clothes are to be kept in a bag in their cubbie. The bag should be checked periodically for washing and replacement.

We also recommend that additional items be added and/or removed depending on the season. We have compiled seasonal lists for your reference. You don’t necessarily have to have each item on these lists stored in your child’s cubbie. Instead, you may elect to have your child wear certain items to the centre. However, please keep in mind that Vancouver has changing weather even in the summer and your child might need that sweatshirt or bathing suit for activities later in the day. Without proper clothes your child will not be able to participate in the program.
